India's smartphone shipments fell by 20% year-over-year in Q3 2026 to reach a decade low during the July-September period, according to Counterpoint Research.
The steep decline was driven by high memory prices that continuously increased component costs and weakened mass-market demand, particularly for devices below ₹15,000.
Samsung captured the top spot with a 17% market share, followed by Vivo with 16% and Oppo with 12%.
