Apple's first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, has launched with prices starting at $1,999 in the US and ₹2,99,900 in India, while its top 2TB variant reaches ₹4,49,900.
The substantial price tag has sparked online discussions, with the ₹4.5 lakh amount equivalent to purchasing alternative high-value items such as nearly 30 grams of 24-carat gold.
Alternatively, the same amount can purchase entry-level vehicles like the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 or fund dozens of one-way domestic and international flight tickets across routes like Mumbai and Bengaluru.
