Security Beefed Up Ahead of Delhi Police Protest Notice

CJP convenor Saurav Das will submit an intimation letter to the Delhi Police on October 7, 2026, regarding a planned October 10 Jantar Mantar protest pressing for ECI chief Gyanesh Kumar's resignation.

The development follows the detention of around 260 INDIA bloc protesters, including 10 MPs, on October 6 during a march from Parliament to the Election Commission of India.

Prominent Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, K. C. Venugopal, and Pawan Khera, were detained after staging a sit-in at Akashvani Bhawan and later released.
