Schaumburg High School Football Player Critically Injured

A Schaumburg High School football player was hospitalized in critical condition following an injury sustained during a game against Antioch High School on Friday night.

The Antioch Fire Department responded to the field around 9 p.m., and the student was transported to Condell Medical Center for emergency medical treatment and a CT scan.

Community High School District 117 officials confirmed the student's attendance, while authorities have not yet released further details regarding the specific nature of the injury.
