Global coffeehouse chain Starbucks has partnered with Guidance Tamil Nadu to set up its first Global Capability Centre in India in Chennai.
The initial phase of the Chennai GCC will create over 800 high-paying jobs and operate as a standalone entity rather than through its retail joint venture partner Tata Consumer Products.
Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay and Industries Minister S Keerthana stated that the investment reinforces Tamil Nadu's position as a premier destination for global business capabilities.
