Eleven-year-old British chess player Bodhana Sivanandan became the youngest female international master in history after securing her third IM norm at the European Club Cup on Friday.
She broke Judit Polgar’s nearly four-decade-old record set in 1988, positioning herself as the seventh youngest international master of all time at age 11.
The Harrow schoolgirl previously became the youngest player to earn Woman Grandmaster and Woman International Master norms, and won the British Championships women’s title.
