The Indian Space Research Organisation launched the NVS-03 navigation satellite aboard a GSLV-F18 rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 11:51 p.m. IST on Friday.
The third second-generation satellite aims to maintain and boost the Navigation with Indian Constellation system, marking the 20th flight of the GSLV rocket.
The satellite carries an indigenous atomic clock alongside procured ones to provide precise position, navigation, and timing services across India and a 1,500-km surrounding region.
