A Eurasian whimbrel ringed at Kadalundi-Vallikkunnu Community Reserve over six years ago was resighted on Elathur beach in Kozhikode by ornithologist Abdulla Paleri.

A Tibetan sand-plover banded in Mumbai in March 2025 was also recorded on Chavakkad beach in Thrissur by birdwatcher P.P. Sreenivasan.
