Bihar Government Forms High-Level Panel To Review Assistant Professor Recruitment

Bihar set up a high-level committee to review the recruitment structure for assistant professors in state universities and suggest comprehensive reforms.

The panel includes retired IAS officers Amarjit Sinha and Sanjay Kumar, and Padma Shri awardee Prof H C Verma, with findings due within 90 days.

The committee was formed following an agreement between the governor and protesting student groups who demanded objective tests and a higher age limit.
