Sanjukta Parashar becomes first woman to command CRPF's CoBRA unit

Sanjukta Parashar, a 2006-batch IPS officer widely known as the Iron Lady of Assam, has taken charge as Inspector General of the CRPF's elite CoBRA unit.

Parashar is the first woman to command the specialized jungle warfare force, bringing her extensive field leadership and counter-insurgency experience from Assam.

Her professional background also includes academic studies at Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University, alongside national security investigation experience as a DIG with the NIA.
