Anaheim Mayor Ashleigh Aitken Faces Workplace Misconduct Grievance

Anaheim Mayor Ashleigh Aitken is facing a 25-page workplace grievance filed by Chief of Staff Berenice Ballinas alleging intoxication and inappropriate behavior.

The complaint alleges that Aitken displayed signs of intoxication at official events, made offensive remarks regarding sexual orientation, and used a racial slur.

City officials announced plans to hire an independent investigator to examine the allegations ahead of the mayor's November reelection campaign.
