Indian-Run Pharma Plant in Ukraine Destroyed in Russian Drone Attacks

A massive pharmaceutical plant in Sumy, Ukraine, belonging to the Indian Kusum group, was destroyed in Russian drone attacks, leaving one person dead and several injured.

Run by Indian national Rajeev Gupta, the facility suffered an estimated loss of at least Rs 400 crore while continuing operations throughout the Russia-Ukraine war.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack as Moscow launched 135 attack drones overnight, while German Chancellor Friedrich Merz visited Kyiv for talks.
