BJP Enforces Jharkhand Bandh Amid Student Protests Over Recruitment Irregularities

The BJP enforced a state-wide bandh in Jharkhand on Tuesday to protest against the JMM-led government following police action against students demanding recruitment reforms.

Protesters, including JPSC and JSSC aspirants, have been agitating since July 25, demanding a CBI probe into alleged exam irregularities and the cancellation of the JSSC-CGL examination.

Assembly proceedings were adjourned till noon on Tuesday as opposition MLAs protested the lathi charge and water cannon use against students during Monday's Vidhan Sabha gherao march.
