The Indian rupee rose 24 paise to 95.72 against the U.S. dollar in early trade on Monday, supported by positive domestic equities and moderating crude oil prices.
At the interbank foreign exchange market, the local unit opened at 95.86 after closing lower at 95.96 against the greenback on Friday.
Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar index traded higher by 0.09% at 100.31, while Brent crude futures declined 2.10% to $101.69 per barrel.
