Ridgewood school district has announced the closure of two high school athletic fields for the fall season following the discovery of critical safety failures.
Inspections revealed structural and surface issues that pose risks to student-athletes, necessitating immediate repairs before the facilities can be reopened.
The district is currently coordinating with local contractors to expedite the restoration process, while sports teams are being relocated to alternative venues.
