A flash flood tore through Nepal's Gorkha district early Sunday, sweeping away homes and damaging infrastructure along the Budhi Gandaki river system.
The disaster was likely triggered by a landslide and the breach of a temporary river blockage near Chumchet, according to ICIMOD.
At least 10 people remain missing while nearly 50 individuals have been rescued as search and evacuation operations continue.
