The Foreigners Regional Registration Office issued a notice directing actor Imran Khan to leave India by October 28 following his participation in a Mumbai protest.
Khan, who holds an OCI card and is a US citizen, was detained by Mumbai Police on October 10 during a demonstration organized by the Cockroach Janta Party.
His legal team announced plans to challenge the notice in the Bombay High Court, arguing that OCI cardholders are not explicitly barred from protesting.
