Bank of Baroda has initiated a forensic investigation following reports that 1TB of sensitive customer data, including Aadhaar numbers and account details, was leaked on the dark web.
While the bank claims its core banking systems remain uncompromised, cybersecurity researchers confirmed the availability of critical personal information online as of July 26, 2026.
The bank is currently working with cybersecurity experts to identify the source of the breach and has advised customers to monitor their accounts for suspicious activity.
