BRICS New Delhi Declaration Backs Antiquities Repatriation

BRICS leaders adopted the New Delhi Declaration on Saturday, emphasizing the protection of cultural heritage and the repatriation of antiquities to their origin countries.

The grouping welcomed the Bhopal Declaration from the 11th BRICS Culture Ministers' Meeting to strengthen people-to-people cooperation among member states.

The consensus declaration was adopted after overcoming differences regarding the Middle East conflict, while Prime Minister Modi also conveyed wishes for China's upcoming presidency.
