Hilleman Labs to Develop Bundibugyo Ebola Vaccine

Singapore-based Hilleman Laboratories is partnering with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations to develop and manufacture vaccine doses for the Bundibugyo ebolavirus.

The project is supported by up to $8.5 million in CEPI funding and utilizes the recombinant vesicular stomatitis virus platform to accelerate clinical trial readiness.

MSD will serve as a technical adviser to Hilleman, leveraging expertise from its existing WHO pre-qualified Zaire ebolavirus vaccine to address the outbreak currently affecting the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
