World number one Elena Rybakina withdrew from the WTA Finals at Indian Wells due to an unspecified medical issue.
Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk will take Rybakina's place in Group One for the season-ending tournament starting Sunday.
The tournament was moved from Saudi Arabia to California in July following US military strikes on Iran and subsequent regional war.
