Gold prices slip nearly 1% to ₹1.49 lakh on strong US dollar

Gold prices for December delivery fell ₹1,020 or nearly 1% to ₹1,49,370 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange on Monday due to pressure from a stronger US dollar.

The US dollar index hovered near an 18-month high of 102.37 while benchmark US 10-year Treasury yields held around 5.2% amid persistent inflation and government borrowing pressures.
