Indian Embassy Issues Helpline Following Deadly Spain Train Crash

A high-speed train collision south of Madrid in Spain killed at least 68 people and injured scores on Wednesday, according to authorities.

The Indian Embassy in Madrid opened an emergency helpline (+34 650 339 008) and email for Indian nationals affected by the rail disaster.

Transport Minister Óscar Puente stated that preliminary assessments point to a possible technical failure and an inexplicable decision by the control centre to resume traffic.
