Rahul Gandhi Demands FIR Over Purification Ritual at Kharge's Rally Site

Rahul Gandhi demanded an FIR under the SC/ST law following a 'shuddhikaran' ritual performed at Haldwani's Ramlila ground after Mallikarjun Kharge's August 8, 2026, rally.

The Congress leader accused the BJP-RSS of practicing untouchability, citing the ritual conducted by Shri Ram Sena members two days after the party president's visit.

Gandhi urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure justice for Kharge, noting that Union Minister J.P. Nadda previously promised an investigation into the incident during the Monsoon Session.
