Two IIT Gandhinagar undergraduate students developed an AI-based cybersecurity system named TrustGate to detect cyberattacks on critical infrastructure like water plants and power grids.
The system won second prize at the international Intel Cup Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest 2026 held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China.
Developed by Miloni Thakkar and Mitwa Goswami, TrustGate combines network traffic and physical sensor data to identify attacks and alert plant operators.
