The Karnataka State Primary School Teachers’ Association submitted a formal proposal urging the State government to establish cluster-level kitchens for the midday meal program.
The association argued that the existing system forces teachers to manage grocery procurement and food distribution, diverting them from classroom teaching and academic duties.
The proposed cluster model would utilize existing midday meal workers under local organization management while grouping ten schools per cluster to streamline operations.
