Sun Pharma Inks Licensing Deal With LIB Therapeutics For LDL-C Drug

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries signed an exclusive licensing agreement with LIB Therapeutics to commercialize and manufacture the cholesterol-lowering drug lerodalcibep globally, excluding the U.S. and China.

The agreement gives Sun Pharma entry into the non-U.S. and non-China PCSK9 inhibitor market, which reached $3.7 billion with a 38% CAGR by Q2 2026.

Lerodalcibep is approved in the European Union under the brand name Lyrokaul and in the United States as Lerochol to reduce low-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
