A suspected cyberattack hit grocery stores across at least nine European countries on Monday, causing overnight refrigeration failures and food spoilage.
Affected nations included Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Sweden, with retailers attributing issues to external control providers.
The European Union warned the incident was a deliberate attempt to disrupt the bloc's food supply chain following a similar event in France.
