Meerut court sentences two to death in sensational 'blue drum' murder case

A local court in Meerut sentenced Muskan Rastogi and her partner Sahil Shukla to death on Wednesday for the March 2025 murder of merchant navy officer Saurabh Rajput.

The court had previously convicted the two accused on September 30, 2026, concluding a 13-month trial involving 126 hearings and testimony from 22 prosecution witnesses.

According to police case details, the victim was sedated before being dismembered and concealed inside a plastic drum sealed with cement.
