The Department of Palliative Medicine at the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology reported reaching over 3,000 beneficiaries, including advanced cancer patients and caregivers, through its home-based care services.

The department recorded more than 750 home-care visits and 12,000 kilometers travelled, providing medical assessment, symptom management, and nursing care in familiar surroundings.

KMIO also provides inpatient palliative care with over 30 beds, pediatric palliative care, bereavement support, and teleconsultations through its relaunched 'Call for Care' service.
