Actor Imran Khan was detained by the Mumbai Police on Saturday at August Kranti Maidan alongside girlfriend Lekha Washington and cousin Zayn Marie Khan during a protest call supporting the CJP.
Lekha Washington stated on social media that police prevented them from booking a vehicle to return home, though she confirmed they were all safe.
Mumbai Police detained over 400 people, stating no permission was sought for the gathering and that high court rules restrict protests to Azad Maidan.
