Delhi University is developing a dedicated portal to track student paying guest (PG) accommodations, rent amounts, and facility conditions following a fatal building collapse in Satya Niketan.
An eight-member panel chaired by South Campus Director Rajni Abbi will use the database to establish a memorandum of understanding with local PG providers and municipal authorities.
The university also initiated steps to convert vacant Type-I staff flats at Reids Line and Dhaka campuses into student housing, creating space for around 25 additional residents.
