2,390 Tamil Nadu Gram Panchayats Declared Tuberculosis-Free for 2025

A total of 2,390 Gram Panchayats in Tamil Nadu have been declared tuberculosis (TB)-free for 2025.

The 'TB Free Panchayat' initiative aims for community ownership in TB elimination, supporting prevention, identification, and treatment.

Criteria included examining 30 presumptive TB persons per 1,000 population and a TB notification rate of one or fewer.
