DMK MLAs Evicted from Tamil Nadu Assembly

Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker JCD Prabhakar ordered the eviction of DMK MLAs on Tuesday after they protested against Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay's corruption allegations.

The Chief Minister had cited Enforcement Directorate documents to accuse former DMK minister V Senthil Balaji and his brother Ashok Kumar of financial irregularities in TASMAC liquor retail.

Opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin led the protest after the Speaker refused to allow a debate on the CM's remarks, which also referenced the Sarkaria Commission's findings on past corruption.
