US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner held three hours of closed-door talks with President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Saturday to discuss substantive plans for ending the war in Ukraine.
The envoys are scheduled to arrive in Kyiv on Sunday, following an agreement between Putin and President Volodymyr Zelensky to halt strikes on their respective capitals for three days.
While details remain undisclosed, Putin adviser Yuri Ushakov described the discussions as constructive and noted that the talks covered potential major Russian-American economic projects alongside the conflict.
