Assam Police and the Government Railway Police detained 27 Bangladeshi nationals in Guwahati and Rangia for illegal entry without valid documents.
Twelve individuals were caught at the ASTC campus in Paltan Bazar, while another group of 15 was intercepted aboard the Jammu Tawi Express.
The Assam border department initiated the expulsion process under the Immigrants (Expulsion from Assam) Act, 1950, to send the detainees back.
