Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi launched a six-month certificate course in Primary Teacher Education for in-service teachers holding B.Ed. degrees.
Implemented via the National Institute of Open Schooling, the programme includes academic learning, 10 days of online contact classes, and 20 days of school practicum.
The course targets primary teachers appointed between June 2018 and August 2023 following a Supreme Court directive empowering the NCTE.
