
India's women's compound archery team won gold at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya on Wednesday by edging out China 238-234 in the final.
Comprising Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Prithika Pradeep, and Chikita Thaniparthi, the team equalled the world and Asian record set by South Korea in 2014.
Earlier in the semi-finals, India narrowly defeated South Korea 234-233, propelling the country to the ninth position in the overall medal standings.
