At least 24 people were killed after Russian bombs struck an aid distribution centre in the village of Komyshuvakha within the southern Zaporizhzhia region, according to Ukrainian officials.
Regional head Mykhailo Semikin stated that five people were injured and 27 initially reported missing after at least nine 3,000kg aerial bombs hit the location where people were sheltering.
President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack as proof that Russia counts on further killings, while rescue operations were repeatedly halted due to local Russian drone attacks.
