Over 150 Pakistani-Sindhi brides have arrived in India for weddings after the Centre issued visas following a long delay caused by border closures.
The brides and their families traveled via transit routes in Dubai, Oman, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh after the Wagah-Attari border was shut following the May 7, 2025, Operation Sindoor.
Community leaders report that approximately 300 additional women in Pakistan are still waiting for Indian visas to join their fiancés in cities including Nagpur, Raipur, and Pune.
