Bihar Introduces OTS Scheme for Brick Kilns to Waive ₹90 Crore Interest

The Bihar government announced a One-Time Settlement scheme for brick kilns, waiving ₹90.26 crore in accumulated interest on outstanding dues of ₹316.66 crore.

The scheme applies to around 6,000 brick kiln owners and will run for three months from September 21 to December 20, 2026.

Owners must clear their outstanding principal dues within the stipulated period, failing which the full interest and dues under the previous system will apply.
