
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar stated on Monday that Indian electronic voting machines are manufactured by public sector companies and lack internet or wireless connectivity.
During a visit to Lucknow, Kumar addressed students at Colvin Taluqdars' College, emphasising the importance of verifying information authenticity in the current social media landscape.
The CEC highlighted the scale of India's electoral process, noting that the country manages approximately 100 crore voters and urged youth to register under Article 326.
