Union Minister Chirag Paswan Receives Death Threat

Union Minister Chirag Paswan received an anonymous letter threatening that he will be killed shortly by hardcore terrorists, prompting his office to seek an urgent investigation.

The communication, received on Tuesday, contained two mobile numbers and was reported to the Home Secretary, the CRPF, and the Bihar government by Paswan's additional private secretary.

Paswan's office has requested a review and augmentation of his existing Z-category security cover in light of the threat and his upcoming public engagements.
