Odisha's Director General of Prisons Susanta Kumar Nath has been booked for allegedly sexually harassing a subordinate woman officer and transferred to the Home Department as an officer on special duty.
The FIR was registered at Choudwar police station on October 31 under BNS provisions relating to sexual harassment, criminal intimidation, and common intention, naming Nath and his friend Kuldeep Rath.
The 41-year-old complainant alleged she was targeted, falsely implicated in a prisoner escape case, and suspended after rejecting repeated personal invitations from Rath to meet the IPS officer alone.
