
Asmita Dey and Harsh Singh won India's first-ever Commonwealth Games gold medals in judo at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow on July 31, 2026.
Dey defeated Canada's Heidi Quach 2-1 in the women's 48kg final, while Singh secured a 10-0 victory over Australia's reigning bronze medallist Joshua Katz in the men's 60kg bout.
The 23-year-old Dey, who trained at the National Centre of Excellence in Bhopal, overcame a penalty and a Golden Score period to claim her historic victory.
