Rockdale County High School Football Game Cancelled After Fight

The August 28, 2026, football game between Rockdale County High School and Heritage High School was cancelled following a pregame altercation at 5:45 p.m.

Superintendent Dr. Stephanie Johnson stated the district is investigating the incident and warned that participants violating the athletic code of conduct will face consequences.

Separately, five people were taken into custody following a fight at a game between Newnan High School and East Coweta High School on the same evening.
