India defeated Iran 40-34 in a tense final to win the men's kabaddi gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi, Japan, on Saturday.
Iran briefly took an 18-17 lead at halftime after a strong defensive display that briefly stopped India's star raiders and forced an all-out.
India tightened their defense in the second half to turn the tide, securing the contingent's fourth gold and the men's team's ninth gold since 1990.
