A 23-year-old worker from Jharkhand's Palamu district has been imprisoned in Dubai's Al Rashidiya jail for four months after leaving his job without proper notice.
The worker's father stated that his son attempted to return home for his sister's wedding by paying a travel agent, leading to his detention for seven consecutive days of absence.
The family delayed reporting the matter for four months based on the worker's assurances, but has now petitioned local police and higher authorities for his repatriation.
