Jharkhand Government Holds Inconclusive Talks With Student Protesters

The Jharkhand government held its first round of talks with student protesters in Ranchi on August 7, 2026, but the meeting ended without an agreement.

A 10-member student delegation met with a five-member committee of ministers and officials to discuss demands for a CBI inquiry into alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC-CGL exams.

The protest, led by the JPSC/JSSC Reforms Manch, has entered its 14th day, with student leaders confirming that demonstrations will continue following the inconclusive discussions.
