Parliament Monsoon Session Adjourned Sine Die Amidst Opposition Protests

Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned sine die on August 13, 2026, following a session marked by frequent disruptions and protests over the NEET paper leak and other issues.

The Rajya Sabha functioned for a total of 37 hours and 49 minutes, while the Lok Sabha recorded only 19% productivity during the session that saw 12 Bills passed.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju termed the session successful for passing 12 Bills, though Opposition leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the government for stifling debate and bypassing discussions.
